A Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (CIDP) course is a preparatory course for pharmacists who want to take the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Specialty Certification Examination. The course covers the knowledge domains and clinical skills required for pharmacists who practice in infectious diseases settings, such as antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacotherapy, microbiology, and public health. The CIDP course is designed for pharmacists who have at least two years of experience in infectious diseases pharmacy or have completed a postgraduate year two (PGY2) residency in infectious diseases pharmacy.
